I should start off by saying that I am amazed at how far we have come as a civilization. It wasn't that long ago that people were washing their clothes in a wash tub, and even I know what it is like to have to wash dishes in the sink. Today, we have machines that help do these things for us. It blows my mind that a machine can wash something fragile like a glass plate, but no one has thought to invent a machine to wash people. I hate giving myself a bath or taking a shower, so why would I enjoy giving someone else a bath.
These were the thoughts in my head as bath time rolled around tonight. I love Mira, but there are only so many times you can get squirted in the face by a little purple octopus before it gets old. It kept getting closer and closer. Sarah had already mentioned that it was bath night to Mira once, and Mira was already asking for someone to fill up the tub. I tried to think quickly. I stood up and said to Sarah, "What do you want to do, bath or dishes?" hoping for a quick "bath" response. She turned the tables and asked what I wanted to do. Not wanting to let on that I would rather do dishes, I said, "Let's do rock, paper, scissors." I could have left it there and things would have been fine, but I had to throw in, "Loser gets the girl." That's it, I was caught. Sarah called me on it, but agreed to do bath anyway. That's why I love her, she's always willing to do the things I hate. Just kidding Sarah, but I do love you.
