I have a seven year old daughter named Mira and a two year old son named Landon. They do strange things, and I find myself saying even stranger things to them. These are the things I never thought I would say, before I was a father.

Baby Cell Phone
So it's a lazy Saturday, and we are all lying in bed. Mira is laughing and having fun, and suddenly throws something at Sarah. I hear, "Mira, we don't throw our cell phones at people." I had to add in "The mother said to the two year old."

Happy Birthday to Me
Sarah has ha a lot of stuff to do this week, so Mira and I have spent a lot of time together. She can wear you out pretty quickly, but she has been really good this week. We have seen several soccer games with Grand-dad (Cheyenne came to one), we've been out shopping for brownie mix, and we've spent a night in reading books. She is at a really fun age, especially when she is not screaming about not getting something she wants.
Tonight, for some reason, she decided that it was my birthday. Usually she tells people "Happy Day," but tonight I heard a birthday in there very clearly. I apparently needed to have a birthday hat, so she put a container of play-doh on my head. I tried to put the play-doh on her head and say happy birthday to her, but she would just say,"No Daddy, you silly!" Good times.
